We provided lots of training and opportunities for budding, community actors and technicians and devised marketing campaign to develop new and hard to reach audiences as well as attracting mainstream audiences thus creating bridges.
Deep in the Frozen Night – original script and theatre production set in the aftermath of the Pakistan earthquake: A meeting of east and west through, the eyes of a British Asian, teenage girl and three Pakistani women in a refugee campsite.. As above we provided lots of training and opportunities for budding, community actors and technicians and devised marketing campaign to develop new and hard to reach audiences as well as attracting mainstream audiences thus creating bridges. This project also ran workshops in schools. •Price of Dreams – original script and film about the young British Asian men perusing a music career: Their desperation to make it gets the whole community behind them, only to discover that they have been duped and aren’t as talented as they thought. But through their comical ordeal the boys learn many spiritual lessons and what it more valuable in life •Branded - Original script and theatre production set on a boat in the wake of the flotilla incident in Palestine and the dead end inner city of Nottingham the play charters the complex relationship between two brothers and questions the nature of faith and the power of man to change world events. •SHINE - A health event bringing together organisations from diverse fields of health and wellbeing with over 4000 attendees •BAM - British Asian Magazine. We published a magazine before social media was a thing. It was a platform for young British Asians to connect with the arts and be inspired by peers. The magazine also contained social and political content.
